Looking back on the summer of transfer activity, Fabio Capello is pleased that a number of young English players have joined top teams.

With Ashley Young and Phil Jones going to Manchester United, Jordan Henderson joining Andy Carroll at Liverpool and the prospect of first team football for Kyle Walker and Kieran Gibbs in North London, the future is bright.

"I'm really lucky that the top teams in England the Premier League top teams have bought some young players," said Capello. "These players can improve when they play with the top teams.  It will be really interesting for me to see if these players play.

"A player who will play this year is [Kieran] Gibbs, after [Gael] Clichy went to Man City, for this reason it will be interesting for his future. Another player is Walker who has gone back to Tottenham, these are really interesting players."
