England in the Red

England to wear all-red for the first time in 40 years.
England will line-up against Slovenia wearing their change strip of red shirts, red shorts and red socks.
It's the first time in over 40 years that the Three Lions have worn all-red - in a 3-1 friendly win over Belgium in Brussels in February 1970.
There were three other times during the 60s as well, while in the early 90s England also had an all-maroon strip.
"It's not the first time, indeed in 1962 on a couple of occassions England wore all-red", said Martin Prothero, Umbro Senior Vice President of Sports Marketing.
"Historically when we've worn the away kit we've used a red shirt with a white short, but FIFA mandate that we have to offer a second and darker option.
"Everybody is a lot happier with all red than we would be playing in something that was not a natural fit, such as red with a navy blue short."
