Manager believes young forward has a future in the Senior side.
England Manager Fabio Capello used the narrow defeat to France to confirm his faith in promising debutant Andy Carroll.
“Andy Carroll is a really good player, he will be a really interesting player,” the Italian said. “He is a fighter but he also has quality. I am really happy with his performance.
"He will be in the next squad because he is one of the most interesting players not just in England, but also in Europe.”
Carroll made his England bow alongside Sunderland midfielder Jordan Henderson and Capello seemed impressed with how the youngsters dealt with the occasion.
“I think when you play with a team with a lot of youngsters the confidence level is not as high as usual, the pressure is different,” he said.
“The opponents are much better than a lot of other teams and it was interesting to see the reaction of the players.
“When we have all our players fit we are better than this evening's performance."
