Guillermo Franco. Mexico pull one back in the last minute. A corner from the right finds Rafael Marquez on the edge of the area and he heads back towards goal. Leighton Baines blocks on the line, but Guillermo Franco is on hand to tuck away from three yards.

Peter Crouch. England double their lead, and again it stems from a corner. A quickly-taken kick to Gerrard on the right and the number 4 whizzes in a cross to Rooney. His header is on target, but Perez saves well from ten yards. The ball then hits the bar before dropping down to Peter Crouch on the line who helps it into the net with his body.
30'Carlos Salcido comes close to levelling from the edge of the area. The PSV man curls one with his right foot, but the ball strikes the woodwork and goes to safety.
29'An England attack comes to an end and Mexico break with Giovani Dos Santos and Carlos Vela. The Spurs man finds a great pass inside to his Arsenal team mate as Rio Ferdinand closes him down, leaving Vela one on one, But Green pulls off a great save to deny him.
