James Milner is grateful he has another chance to visit Wembley this Wednesday as he looks to put his League Cup disappointment behind him.
England midfielder, Milner, scored the opener in Sunday's Final but his international team-mate Wayne Rooney scored the winner as Manchester United beat Aston Villa 2-1.
Now Milner is hoping to start for England in their friendly against Egypt - their first match in the lead-up to the World Cup.
"I am massively disappointed about the Carling Cup but the beauty is we have a game on Wednesday so I can focus straight away and look forward to the game," said Milner.
"If I was at my club it would be a full week thinking about it, but now I have a big game for England in a different environment and that helps me focus the mind."
Fabio Capello is currently on the look-out for a left-back following the injury to Ashley Cole and Milner insists he is happy to fill the void if he was asked to.
"I have had experience at left-back for England so that is a good start. I am happy to play anywhere and will do the best job possible if the manager asked me," he added.
"I am happy to be in the England squad wherever I play. It is good we have lots of quality players and that is healthy for the squad.
"This is our first friendly in the build up to the World Cup and it will get us prepared as the best we can. We are going to be playing countries from different continents so it is good we are playing different teams in friendlies."
