Cahill eager for England chance

Gary Cahill says he is ready to make his England debut.
Ahead of the final two Qualifiers against Ukraine and Belarus, Gary Cahill says he is prepared to bring his club form on to the international stage, should Fabio Capello decide to give the Bolton defender his first Senior cap.
Cahill has been called up to an England squad for the third time, after coming into the fold before the Kazakhstan/Andorra double-header in June and the Slovenia/Croatia double-header last month, but he has yet to appear for his country at Senior level.
However, should his services be required Cahill said he is ready to step into the breach.
"I'd relish the opportunity to play for my country," he said, "but there's a lot of great players in front of me at the moment, but I look forward to my chance when it comes. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later."
The 23-year-old is aware of the strength in depth England have in the centre back positions and he hopes to use this to his advantage during training sessions.
"It's always been a strong position in the England squad. We've had a lot of top quality centre backs and it's no different now. They're top drawer players that I can learn from and there's no doubt they'll bring my game on. If I get a chance, then that's down to me.
"There's a sense of competition [amongst the players], but that's a good thing. There's a lot of very good players in the country, but only a certain number can go to the World Cup. There's a lot of Premier League games to go before the World Cup and there's still a lot of changes that could possibly be made."
