John Terry wants a victory over Slovenia before heading into Croatia clash.

England Captain, John Terry, believes victory over Slovenia at Wembley on Saturday would be the perfect way to warm-up for Wednesday's World Cup Qualifier against Croatia.

Fabio Capello's side are in a superb position to qualify for South Africa, which would be sealed if Slaven Bilic's men are beaten in midweek.

Before that comes a friendly against Slovenia, though, and Terry promises that the squad are fully focused on the task in hand, although he admits it would be a fantastic achievement for England to seal their place in the World Cup Finals.

"As a group of players the aim is on the game at the weekend and what we can get out of that for Wednesday - that's something that we've been working on all week," said Terry, who confirmed he will be fit for both games.

"It would be huge for us to qualify. Holland are the only team [in Europe] to have qualified so far but its down to us to really push ourselves forward.

"The quicker we do it the better because we then give ourselves an awful lot of time with friendlies or with qualifying games where the manager can try a few formations and try different players for the World Cup.

"If we can push on and get there then its a chance for everyone to relax and really enjoy our football coming into that World Cup."
