England Under-21 'keeper Jason Steele selects his Player of the Year for 2012
Jason Steele has made his vote for England Player of the Year for 2012 and has chosen to go with type by picking
Joe Hart.
The England Under-21 'keeper has selected his Senior team counterpart, after watching him in action for both club and country.
Hart was an important part of the Manchester City side which became Premier League champions in 2012 and was also a mainstay of the England side which reached the quarter final of EURO 2012.
And it's for those reasons that Middlesbrough star Steele has registered his vote for Hart.
He told
FATV: "He's always very consistent, especially for Man City and even for England in the summer.
"He's got the best of everything, to do everything to a far superior standard than most goalkeepers and that's why he's one of the best in the world."
Have you placed your vote for the England Player of the Year for 2012 yet? Or maybe vote for Steele himself in the Under-21 section.
