Fan voting nears end for the England Men's, Women's and Under-21s Player of the Year awards
There's still time for fans to have their say on the 2012 England Player of the Year across three categories.
The England Senior Men’s award, now in its tenth year, the Women’s crown, first won in 2007, and, for the first time, the England Under-21s Men's Player of the Year.
The three prizes are part of the inaugural
FA England Awards in association with England Team Sponsor Vauxhall, which will take place at
St. George’s Park on Sunday 3 February 2013, kicking off an amazing year of events to celebrate
The FA’s 150th Anniversary.
As well as the three awards where fans can have their say, there are also eight other awards to be selected by various panels of coaching staff and media, while FA Chairman David Bernstein will choose and present the Lifetime Achievement Award.
In 2012, 47 players featured for the Men’s Senior Team, 26 for the Women’s Senior Team and 37 for the Under-21s.
For the Men's Award shortlist, members of
englandfans voted for their top ten players before our
20-strong panel of football and media experts, including Sir Trevor Brooking, Alan Shearer, Clarke Carlisle, Sam Allardyce and Martin Tyler, narrowed it down to the top five to go to the fans' vote.
There are ten players in the frame for the Women's and Under-21s Awards.
But you have until midnight on Sunday to make your opinion count and vote for which Three Lions players you think deserve the honours for their performances in 2012.
