Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain says conditioning is vital as the season closes in
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is fully aware of the need to condition himself to ensure he is fresh for England's crucial World Cup qualifiers.
Roy Hodgson's men back are on the road to Brazil this week and have a gruelling schedule coming up.
On Friday, they travel to San Marino before facing Montenegro in Podgorica four days later.
And with the domestic season in its final straight and games coming thick and fast for both club and country, the Arsenal man is wary of the demands facing him and his England team-mates.
He said: "I have learned fast from Jack (Wilshere) and his big injury last year, to see the way he goes about his work to make sure he doesn't get injured
"And the hard work he puts in is second to none.
"So far, I have been lucky not to have any major injuries.
"They are part and parcel of the game and you have to make sure you know what is best to you and how to keep yourself as fit as possible."
Oxlade-Chamberlain and his England squad-mates meet at St. George's Park on Monday evening to begin their preparations for the two qualifiers.
