Roy Hodgson names 25-man squad for games with San Marino and Poland
Roy Hodgson has named his squad for next week's World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Poland.
The England Manager has selected a 25-man group for the double-header, which sees San Marino visit Wembley next Friday before the Three Lions travel to Warsaw to face Poland the following Tuesday.
There is a first England call-up for Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster, whose performances for the Bhoys have impressed this season
And Stoke City's Ryan Shawcross is also included for the first time since the
match against Egypt at Wembley in March 2010.
Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon is rewarded for his form so far this season and will be hoping to win his first England cap since the game with Algeria at the World Cup in 2010.
Arsenal's Kieran Gibbs is back in the squad after his return to fitness and strikers Wayne Rooney and Andy Carroll are selected after missing the first two qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine last month through early-season injuries.
The squad will meet up to train at
St.George's Park on Monday, ahead of the
official opening of the new national football centre by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on Tuesday.
