Jordan Henderson makes his England Player Of The Year nomination

England Under-21 captain and senior cap Jordan Henderson has picked Danny Welbeck as his choice for Player Of The Year, as revealed to FATV.

The pair have been longtime team-mates with England over the years and 2012 saw both of them make the breakthrough to the Senior squad and travel to the EURO 2012 Finals.

And it's the performances of Manchester United star Welbeck which most impressed Henderson.

He said: "I know him really well and I played with him at Sunderland when he came on loan and through England as well with the Under-21s.

"He was brilliant in the Euros in training when I was there and I think he played a big part in the games."

Steven Gerrard, along with Ashley Cole, Joe Hart, Glen Johnson and Danny Welbeck are all in the hunt this year and it's up to you which star will claim the 2012 England Player of the Year award at the inaugural FA England Awards in association with Vauxhall at St. George's Park on Sunday 3 February 2013.
