Danny Welbeck told FATV he was pleased England's last 15 minutes against Ukraine
Danny Welbeck said England can be satisfied with the point they earned against Ukraine in Tuesday night’s 2014 World Cup qualifier at Wembley.
Frank Lampard smashed home an 87th-minute penalty to equalise Yevhen Konoplyanka’s sumptuous first-half goal and leave Roy Hodgson’s men with four points from their opening two games, following Friday night’s 5-0 win over Moldova.
Welbeck came off the bench just after the hour mark and produced an impressive cameo, winning the penalty from which England equalised, and he said the Three Lions are pleased to have ended the game on level terms.

He said: “Ukraine were a really difficult side to come up against and they showed that today.
“They’ve got a few good players and the goal they scored was outstanding.
“I think the team dug in really well and in the end we were happy with the 1-1 draw.
Welbeck added: “When a team comes to Wembley they are going to try and sit back and we know it’s going to be difficult to break them down.
“They caught us on the counter-attack a couple of times [but] once we got our game together in the end we looked very strong.
“We did well in the last 15 minutes. We looked really strong, as if we could go on to win the game, so we are pretty happy with the way we finished and we are just going to take it from there.”
