Andy Carroll rehearses his Euro 2012 goal against Sweden

Andy Carroll’s header against Sweden at Euro 2012 was one of the best goals of the tournament.

The big frontman was picked out by a delicious Steven Gerrard cross and he powered the ball beyond Andreas Isaksson to put Roy Hodgson’s men 1-0 up in Kiev.

At 6’4” tall, Carroll has always been a threat in the air but that’s not to say he doesn’t practise his heading.

Just two weeks before that game against Sweden, the West Ham loan star was getting ready for England’s final friendly before the Euros, against Belgium at Wembley.

And almost as if the Three Lions were pre-empting Carroll’s goal against the Swedes, they worked the ball out to the right-hand side during training.
