The first offering from FATV's very own advent calendar

With Christmas looming, FATV have created their very own advent calendar.

Every day we will bring you one never-before-seen clip from the various England teams that have been in action in 2012.

And what better place to start than a video of Three Lions skipper Steven Gerrard scoring with a trademark long-range effort?

The goal came in the warm-up ahead of the 1-1 World Cup qualifying draw in Poland.

Gerrard played a ball into goalkeeping coach Dave Watson, collected the return and rifled the ball past John Ruddy.
