Norwich City boss praises in-form England 'keeper John Ruddy
Norwich City boss Chris Hughton has praised
John Ruddy's fine form after the England stopper kept a clean sheet against Manchester United.
The Canaries won their third Premier League game of the season at Carrow Road on Saturday thanks to Anthony Pilkington's second half header.
And they needed to be at their best defensively to keep Sir Alex Ferguson's League leaders at bay.
Ruddy made a series of saves including one late on from the foot of Norwich defender Sebasten Bassong, which delighted his boss.
"I think we restricted them to minimal chances, certainly clear-cut chances," said Hughton, "but you need a goalkeeper who's assured, who's confident and is brave.
"In the moments where he has got to come across bodies, when he's got to make decisions to come a collect, all of these things are a mark of a good goalkeeper.
"John's in really good form at the moment."
