Arsenal full-back joined Roy Hodgson's squad on Sunday, but will return to club
Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson joined the England squad for a training session on Sunday afternoon as they prepared for the FIFA World Cup qualifier with Poland.
Roy Hodgson's squad trained at Arsenal's London Colney base before travelling to Warsaw on Monday, Jenkinson will remain with his club this week.
Jenkinson has been spoken of as a potential England international of the future
and coach Roy Hodgson has hinted the youngster will be called up for the first
time for next month's friendly with Sweden in Gothenburg.
And, with England using the Gunners' training base
on Sunday, Hodgson opted to bring Jenkinson in for the day to gain some experience.
When asked about Carl Jenkinson on Thursday 4 October, Roy Hodgson said: "Kieran Gibbs, like Jenkinson, has started very well for Arsenal.
"On this occasion, we decided to go with him and keep Jenkinson up our sleeves, but he'll be very much in our thoughts when it comes to the next friendly match.
"After speaking to Arsene [Wenger] I am also conscious that his rise has been meteoric.
"He's only 20 and it's nice to temper things a little bit, but he wouldn't be out of place in the squad."
