Record in 2011: Caps 2 Goals 0

Joleon Lescott started his 2011 for England by coming on as a half-time substitute inthe 1-1 draw with Ghana at Wembley in March. He would later partner former Everton team-mate Phil Jagielka in an impressive pairing for the 1-0 win over World Champions Spain in November.

That was perhaps Lescott’s finest performance in an Three Lions shirt with England's win built on industry and discipline epitomised by the performances of Manchester City's centre half. The former Everton team-mates helped to keep a clean sheet at the heart of the England defence and hope to have caused a defensive selection problem for Manager Fabio Capello.

The 29-year-old has also played a key role in the revolution that is taking place at Manchester City, helping the club win The FA Cup Final against Stoke in May.

Lescott will be hoping his good club form at Manchester City continues ahead of Euro 2012 and will look to be included in the final 23-man squad.
