Voting for the Vauxhall England Player of the Year 2011 is now open and gives the fans' chance to have their say on who they think has been the star performer for the Three Lions.
The player with the most votes after the polls close at midnight on Sunday 8 January 2011 will be crowned as the Player of the Year, joining past winners such as David Beckham, Frank Lampard, Owen Hargreaves and Ashley Cole, and will be presented with a commemorative trophy before the next England game.
Since the turn of the year Fabio Capello has used 32 different players in nine international fixtures as
England secured their place at Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine.
England remained unbeaten during the year and their record in 2011 reads like this: Played 9, Won 6, Drawn 3, Goals For 15, Goals Against 6. It's the Three Lions' first calendar year unbeaten since 1994.
Two players have been ever-present with Manchester City keeper Joe Hart and Liverpool winger Stewart Downing featuring in all nine games.
The top scorer in 2011 was Manchester United's Ashley Young, whose four senior goals all came this year. His first was the winner against Denmark in February.
It was also a year for blooding new players with seven debutants: Matt Jarvis, Phil Jones, Jack Rodwell, Chris Smalling, Daniel Sturridge, Kyle Walker and Danny Welbeck, six of whom featured for England at the European Under-21 Championship Finals in June.
