Qualifying fixtures arranged for 2014 campaign.

England's FIFA World Cup 2014 qualifying fixtures have today been finalised, following a meeting between all of the Group H member associations in Warsaw.

The Three Lions will begin their campaign in Moldova in September 2012, a repeat of the fixture which kicked-off England's qualifying campaign for the 1998 World Cup back in 1996 and a game which will be best remembered for the debut of David Beckham.

It will then be back to Wembley for the first home qualifier four days later, when Ukraine are the visitors.

There are no qualification games on the international dates in June 2013, and England close their campaign with home games against Montenegro and Poland in October 2013.

What Do You Think?

  • I was desperate to take my six-year-old Adam back to Wembley after the Olympic football, but can't face getting home after midnight again, he takes a week to recover. Where are the afternoon fixtures for the families? Is there really nothing for at least two years? Someone needs the sack.By rwgray (8 months ago)
  • Yes, i am too, very disappointed the games are friday night, and not saturday, i like taking my nephew in the family section and living in the north east midlands there is no chance of him getting there after school. As previously asked, can the fa give us a reasonable answer, as to why the games are not on, on a saturday ???By gje (10 months ago)
