Shaun Wright-Phillips picked up his 30th cap in his first game of 2010, coming on for Theo Walcott in the friendly against Mexico at Wembley and scoring the second goal in England’s 3-1 victory.
Having been selected in Fabio Capello’s World Cup squad, the winger went on to make a further six appearances for the Three Lions during the year, coming off the bench each time.
He made his World Cup debut when replacing James Milner in England’s opening game against USA and appeared again against Algeria and Germany. Post World Cup he has been involved in two of England’s Euro 2012 qualifying games.
