Still only 23, Aaron Lennon appeared at his second World Cup Finals in 2010.
The Tottenham Hotspur winger’s electric pace and ability to leave defenders in his wake made him the preferred choice for the hotly contested right flank berth, getting ahead of the likes of Theo Walcott and Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Having worked on his final delivery, Lennon has become a more complete winger over the past couple of seasons and, having set off for South African last summer, he was selected to start in England’s first two games.
