Originally built in 1999 as a rugby venue The Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace is named after the people who live in the area.
The stadium was upgraded for the 2009 Confederations Cup and 2010 World Cup and now has a capacity of almost 45,000.
Located in Phokeng, about 12km from Rustenburg’s city centre, it is accessible from the N4 motorway and is only a 25 minute drive from Sun City, 30 minutes from Pilanesberg.
It will host six matches during the tournament, including England’s opening Group match against the USA.
