The Mbombela Stadium is one of the newly-built stadia for the 2010 World Cup and is located 7km (4.3miles) west of the city of Nelspruit.
Easily accessible from the N4 motorway, the stadium is in close proximity to the surrounding game parks and Kruger National Park.
Capable of housing 46,000 people, the unique structure has incorporated roof supports designed to look like giraffes – the head, neck and back all serving a structural purpose holding canteilevers, the roof and the third tier. The seats are black and white and set out in a zebra print formation.
