England captain David Beckham today condemned racist and violent behaviour and pitch incursions during England matches.

The FA's Director of Marketing and Communications Paul Barber said: "As England's captain, David is speaking on behalf of all the players and The FA is extremely hopeful that this personal message, together with our continuing support for the 'Kick it Out' anti-racism campaign and a range of other measures we are taking at future matches, will act as a 'wake up call' to certain sections of England's fans."
