England boss to have discussions with leading Premier League managers next month...
Sven-Goran Eriksson has just named one of the most imaginative England squads in recent years and we can also reveal that the England coach is at the heart of a new plan aimed at pulling English football together for the mutual benefit of both the leading clubs in the country and the national team itself.
Next month, the England boss is to sit down with the leading club managers in the game to discuss the best way for the football family to work together better in the future.
In a joint initiative between The FA, the Premier League and the League Managers Association, a meeting to unite some of the most significant figures in English fotball has been scheduled for next month.
"This is a highly positive development," David Davies, The FA's Acting Chief Executive told TheFA.com.
"For Sven to sit down with Premier League managers such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger and Gerard Houllier to discuss the best ways in which they can work together can only be good news for the England team, the leading English clubs and English football as a whole.
"It is a collective plan and everyone is looking forward to getting around a table in March to discuss how best we can move forward together."
We will keep you updated.
