UEFA Regions' Cup Intermediary Round Group 4 Qualifying Tournament Czech Republic Tuesday 17 April - Saturday 21 April 2007
The Isle of Man League team have arrived in the Czech Republic for their long-awaited UEFA Regions' Cup qualifying tournament.
Kevin Manning's side, who as winners of last year's FA National League System Cup are England's representatives, play their Group 4 fixtures against Slovakia on Tuesday, hosts Czech Republic on Thursday and Northern Ireland on Saturday.
With only one side qualifying for the Finals in June, Manning knows there is no room for any slip ups in these three games.
"It is vital we get off to a good start," he said, “we need to get off to a good start against the Slovakians on Tuesday otherwise it will be almost impossible to qualify.
"I hope the team has learned lessons from their friendly fixtures in the Republic of Ireland and San Marino and now is the time to step up another gear and make sure that we are among the eight finalists in Bulgaria in June.”
Manning's squad is made up of the same 18 players who travelled to San Marino in March.
England Squad Mark Blair (Laxey FC), Grant Dawson (Ayre Utd FC), Daniel Lace (Peel FC), Kevin Megson (Peel FC), Julian Ringham (St George’s FC) Mark Teare (Douglas Royals FC), Nigel Shimmin (Peel FC), Sean Quaye (St George’s FC), Chris Bass (St George’s FC), James Travers (Laxey FC), Paul Jones (Rushen Utd FC), Nick Hurt (Peel FC), Lee Dixon (St Mary’s FC), Callum Morrisey (St George’s FC), John Myers (St George’s FC), Ross Williamson (Laxey FC), Martin Reilly (St Mary’s FC) and Michael Hooper (Douglas High School OB FC)
