International Challenge Trophy, Group A
Wednesday 20 February 2008
St James Park, Exeter City FC

Exeter City's St James Park ground will be the venue when the England C side play their next International Challenge Trophy fixture against Wales on 20 February 2008.

Paul Fairclough's side, who beat Finland in their last Trophy match in November, follow England Women's Under-21s to the home of the Conference side after they drew 1-1 with France a year ago.

Julian Tagg, Exeter City Vice Chairman, is delighted to see international football return to Devon: “Having so successfully staged the England Women's Under-21 fixture, it is great reward and recognition of the efficiency, professionalism and dedication of everyone at the club, and of the Trust and supporter volunteers.

"Of course a hugely significant factor in the return of international football to St James Park was the way in which the local community wholeheartedly supported its national team," he added.

"I have no doubt we will repeat that feat when the cream of the Conference come to Exeter in February.”

Fairclough himself is also looking forward to the match with great enthusiasm. “We got off to a great start in the Tournament in Helsinki a couple of weeks ago and we are keen to build on that victory against Wales.

"However, I am fully aware that the Welsh side will prove to be strong opponents."

He continued: "We have had some monumental battles with them in the Four Nations Tournament in recent years and I expect nothing less in February.

"I hope that the football family in Devon and surrounding areas turn out in force for what I am sure will be a special night.”

Admission to the game will be £5 (concessions £1) and further details of how to purchase tickets will be announced here on TheFA.com soon.
