England National Game XI and Barnet manager Paul Fairclough has named an initial squad of 30 players for next month's International against the Italian “serie C” side.
The match will be played in the Stadio Communale Gino Pistoni, the home of Serie C2 side US Ivrea, on Wednesday 10 November.
This will be the 15th meeting between the two sides and gives Fairclough’s men an early opportunity to avenge the 4-1 defeat suffered earlier this year in the match played at Shrewsbury.
The English have only been successful on 3 occasions and will be keen to put on a good show.
The 30-man squad, which is selected at Under 23 level, sees 20 names new to International football. Conference new boys Carlisle United, Crawley Town and York City all have players represented with Conference South club, Grays Athletic also having a player in the squad.
Fairclough, who is currently enjoying an excellent start to the season with Barnet, plans to reduce his squad to 16 prior to the trip.
