Goalkeepers

Name:
Bradley Watkins
Born: 11.09.94
Club: Aston Villa

Bradley was named as a substitute for the Victory Shield opener against Wales and will hope to get a chance against Northern Ireland.

Name: George Willis
Born: 30.07.95
Club: Sheffield United

George is the youngest member of the squad and he will join up with the team for the first time.

Defenders

Name: Stephen Arthurworrey
Born: 15.10.94
Club: Fulham

A tall, strong centre back, Stephen is one of seven new call-ups for this second Victory Shield match.

Name: Adam Jackson
Born: 18.05.94
Club: Middlesbrough

Adam is an assured centre back, who is comfortable with the ball either at his feet or in the air. He has a tall, lean frame which should stand him in good stead against Northern Ireland.

Name: Sam Magri
Born: 30.03.94
Club: Portsmouth

Sam is strong in the tackle, composed in possession and likes to play the ball out from the back where possible.

Name: Callum McFadzean
Born: 16.01.94
Club: Sheffield United

Predominantly a left-sided centre back, Callum is comfortable anywhere on the left hand side of the pitch, be in at full-ball or in midfield. A committed player, he is defensively solid and can also deliver a good cross.

Midfielders

Name:
Elikem Amenku
Born: 29.07.94
Club: West Bromwich Albion

Along with Adil Nabi, Elikem featured for West Brom in their Nike Premier Cup success in April and he will be looking to add to his trophy haul in this Victory Shield campaign. Had to withdraw from the squad to face Wales earlier this month.

Name: Jack Barmby
Born: 14.11.94
Club: Manchester United

Son of Hull City captain, Nick, Jack is a talented left winger with good close control and a dangerous end product. Receives his first U16 call-up.

Name: Jordan Cousins
Born: 06.03.94
Club: Charlton Athletic

Jordan featured against Scotland in last season’s Victory Shield and then travelled to France in April to help England retain the Montaigu Tournament. He is a tall, energetic midfielder with a good pass and he will look to pass his experience on to this particular group of U16s. Jordan captained the U16s against Wales earlier this month and is also comfortable in defence.

Name: Shay Facey
Born: 07.01.95
Club: Manchester City

Shay is good on the ball, he can pick a pass and is also capable of playing at the back. This is his maiden international call-up.

Name: Luke Hendrie
Born: 27.08.94
Club: Manchester United

Luke is an athletic midfielder who combines his physical attributes with good positional awareness and a strong tackle.

Name: Bradley Jordan
Born: 21.01.94
Club: Charlton Athletic

Joins fellow Addick, Jordan Cousins, in the squad and like Jordan, Bradley has a good engine and work rate to match. Uses the ball well from the middle of the park.

Name: Adil Nabi
Born: 28.02.94
Club: West Bromwich Albion

Adil is a talented attacking midfielder, confident in possession and poses a threat in the opposition half. Captained West Brom to the Nike Premier Cup in April and came close to opening the scoring against Wales, forcing the ‘keeper into a fine save.

Name: Nathan Redmond
Born: 06.03.94
Club: Birmingham City

Nathan is a very direct and skilful right-winger. Came on as a second-half substitute against Wales and immediately posed a threat. His free-kick led to Zak Ansah’s winning goal.

Name: Blair Turgott
Born: 22.05.94
Club: West Ham United

With a good first touch, Blair is an attack-minded midfielder, equally comfortable upfront or wide on the right. This is his first U16 call-up.

Forwards

Name:
Zak Ansah
Born: 04.05.94
Club: Arsenal

Zak came off the bench against Wales in October and headed the winning goal with just four minutes remaining. He is developing well at Arsenal and will look to be among the goals again in Chester.

Name: Matthias Fanimo
Born: 28.01.94
Club: West Ham United

Like Jordan Cousins, Matthias also featured against Scotland in last season’s Shield and the young Hammer brought his experience to the fold against Wales, providing a useful outlet upfront. A pacy forward with an eye for goal.

Name: Nick Powell
Born: 23.03.94
Club: Crewe Alexandra

This is Nick’s first international call-up and the tall forward will no doubt be keen to impress.
