England new boy Aaron Lennon has still not come to terms with his selection in England's World Cup squad.
The 19 year old was named in Sven-Goran Eriksson's final 23 on Monday after a number of eye-catching performances on the right-wing for Spurs in the last few months.
And now the flying winger will be flying to Germany for the greatest show on earth - The World Cup Finals.
"It has been a massive season for me and getting into the squad is unbelievable," the teen starlet told Spurs' official website. "I never expected it - even on Monday - and it rounds off the season nicely for me."
Although there was speculation Lennon might be selected, the player refused to believe what he was reading.
"It has been brilliant," he said. "Even when it was being suggested in the papers I didn't really believe it. I thought I might have a chance, but I have now been picked for the squad.
"Someone from the FA called me at about quarter past two and it still hasn't really sunk in now. My phone didn't stop ringing after that with everyone phoning to congratulate me and it has all been amazing."
Sven was full of praise for Lennon, who along with 17 year old Theo Walcott, is yet to win a cap at senior level.
"Lennon has pace, beats people and is a good crosser. He is a very interesting player," said the England Head Coach.
"I think during the last two, maybe three months he has really started to play good football.
"Every time we went to see him, the scouts, myself or Tord, we had good reports during the last two-and-a-half months. He's in very good shape - that's important."
