England's squad for the World Cup in Egypt has been announced.
FIFA U20 World Cup
The Finals
24 September - 16 October
Egypt
England U20s Head Coach Brian Eastick has named his squad for the World Cup tournament which takes place in Egypt later this month.
After two games to prepare for the competition, a final squad of 21 players has been selected and they will begin their preparations next week.
With the first game against Uruguay coming up on 26 September, the squad will travel to Cyprus for a training camp in order to help them acclimatise to the conditions they are likely to face in Egypt.
England qualified for the competition after their performance at the European U19 Championship Finals last year and the two games played in preparation have seen them face Italy and Montenegro.
Both matches yielded wins too, with Italy beaten by 2-0 at Loftus Road in March and Montenegro seen off by 5-0 last month.
The squad selected contains a number of players who have featured at various levels for England in the past, with the likes of Jason Steele, Kieran Trippier, Matthew James, Matthew Briggs, Gavin Hoyte and Andrew Tutte all being part of the U19 squad which reached the Final of the Euros earlier this summer.
Players such as Ben Mee and Josh Walker were also part of the U19s team last year who helped the Young Lions to qualify for this competition, billed as FIFA's second biggest after the senior World Cup.
