John Peacock has named his England squad for the upcoming Elite Qualifying Round of the UEFA European U17 Championship.

England must top their Elite group, which includes Sweden, Malta and Slovakia, to join the seven other qualifiers in the European Finals in Liechtenstein in May and in Sam Johnstone, Louis Laing, Luke Garbutt and Benik Afobe, Peacock boasts four players who appeared in last season’s Finals, in Germany.

The majority of the squad have been together since U16 level with Tottenham’s Harry Kane the only player to have made his England debut as an U17 player this season, when he appeared in the successful Algarve Tournament campaign last month.

England get their Elite Round campaign underway against Sweden at Sixfields Stadium on Saturday 27 March. They take on Malta at the Pirelli Stadium two days later and return to Northampton Town to face Slovakia on 1 April.
