A second-half strike from Benik Afobe was enough for England to defeat Serbia and confirm top spot in their First Qualifying Round group.
The Young Lions came into Saturday's encounter needing just a point to ensure they will be seeded for the Elite Round draw, but Afobe's goal saw them end the campaign with three wins from three, after a 6-2 victory over Kazakhstan and a 4-0 dismissal of Azerbaijan earlier in the week.
The draw for the Elite Round will take place at the end of the year, while the Elite Round itself will commence in March 2010.
