England U16s finished their first round of games in the Montaigu Tournament with a perfect record, following Saturday's 3-0 victory against Ivory Coast.
Goals from Robert Hall, Jordan Cousins and Jake Bidwell proved enough to send Kenny Swain's team through to the final stages and a chance to retain the championship which they lifted last year.
After previous wins against Russia and United Arab Emirates, the Young Lions knew that a positive result in this game would be enough for them to top Group B.
It took 21 minutes for England to draw first blood, when West Ham striker Hall put the Lions ahead and that was how it remained at the break.
The second half saw them build on their lead and just four minutes after the restart, Charlton starlet Cousins doubled the advantage.
Substitute Bidwell of Everton completed the scoring when he converted from the penalty spot in the 67th minute.
