Dell’s 14-man squad includes no fewer than seven new caps, reflecting the increase of players now involved on the recently launched F30 Programme for the development of England’s Futsal players.

York City’s former Blackburn Rovers starlet Darren Dunning and former England U17 international Marek Szmid are notable additions who receive their first England call up.

Dell will face his first test without the experience of ‘keeper Graham Smith who broke a finger in January which paves the way for Dell to see more of the promising Farai Jackson.

Announcing the squad Dell was upbeat about the start of 2005: "We have made encouraging progress in the past 12 months and this series of games offers these players an opportunity to develop some consistency in our performances which was lacking last year.

"I am excited by the new additions to the F30 Programme and these lads have earned the chance to show what they can do against an experienced French team.

"The game isn’t as easy as it might look. It’s very fast, technical and very tactical at this level which is a lot for the newer players to take in but they are a very dedicated group and I am very confident and encouraged by their application so far."
