The England Blind Squad will meet Spain in the Semi Finals of the European Championships in Nantes after finishing runners up in the group stages.
Victories over both Germany and Italy had propelled England to the top of the group but a 3-1 defeat at the hands of hosts France means that Tony Larkin’s side will face the pre-tournament favourites in the Semi Finals on Friday.
With England assured of a Semi Final place before kick off, Larkin brought in the likes of Craig Lundberg and Dan English from the bench and they were given a dream start inside ten minutes when Dave Clarke gave England a first half lead.
However, France fought back in the second half and clinched top spot in the group with three unanswered goals.
