The attacking, left-sided defender from Leicester City received his first England call-up for the U18s in 2010 and capped that occasion off with a goal against Poland at Wycombe Wanderers' Adams Park.
George had been a regular for his club’s academy side and in good form there, which brought him to the attention of Noel Blake who had a look at him in that game.
His potential was further re-inforced when he was a call-up to the England U20s squad for the FIFA World Cup in Colombia in the summer of 2011.
