A tireless and concentrated defender, Alex has become a mainstay at the back for England with some excellent displays. She is most at home at right-back but has appeared in defence, midfield and even in attack.
She started her club career at Arsenal and moved to Birmingham City in 2004, the year in which she made her senior England debut against Holland.
