A lively forward, who broke into the first team at Southampton in 2010 and impressed enough to propel himself into the U18 squad, his first call-up at any level for England. He featured in their game with Poland at Wycombe Wanderers in November 2010 before moving up to the U19 squad in 2011.
His continued good form at St.Mary's saw him catch the attention of Arsenal and he joined the London outfit in the summer of 2011, having already been fast-tracked into Stuart Pearce's Under-21 squad by that stage.
There is international history in Alex's family too, as his father Mark Chamberlain played for England eight times in the 1980s as well as for the Under-21s.
