A product of the Birmingham City Academy, Jack has been involved with England since U16 level when he made his debut against Northern Ireland in a Victory Shield game in October 2008.
Since then, he's gone on to represent the Young Lions at both U17 and U19 level and was a part of the squad which lifted the UEFA European U17 Championship in Liechtenstein in May 2010.
He started that competition as the understudy to Sam Johnstone, but after an impressive performance when he got the opportunity to play, he kept his place and ended the competition in possession of the shirt.
2010 also saw him voted as Birmingham's 'Young Player Of The Season.'
The following year, Butland was called into the U20 squad for the FIFA U20 World Cup in Colombia to get even more experience under his belt.
