A dramatic 35-yard lob from Gemma Shepherd saw Charlton edge Watford in the last 16 of The FA Women’s Premier League Cup.

The two sides had played out a goalless 90 minutes and the tie looked to be heading for penalties when Shepherd hit an audacious effort in the final minute of extra-time.

The Addicks will now face last season’s beaten Finalists Leeds United in the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, Cardiff defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 to set up a last eight clash with holders Sunderland.

2011 winners Barnet await the victors of the Portsmouth-Manchester City tie and Wolves, Blackburn, Coventry and Aston Villa will all be vying to fill the last two spots in the quarters.
