On Sunday 6 May, Northampton Town’s Sixfields Stadium will stage The FA Women’s Premier League Cup Final.

The group stage of the competition is currently in full swing and Aston Villa, Charlton Athletic, Portsmouth, West Ham and Coventry have already booked themselves a spot in the quarter-finals.

“We are delighted that Northampton Town have agreed to hold this season’s League Cup Final,” said Thura KT Win, Chairman of The FA Women’s Premier League.

“They have staged a number of FA matches in the past and we know they will prove excellent hosts once again.”

Northampton Town Chairman David Cardoza said: “We are delighted to have been chosen to host The FA Women’s Premier League Cup Final.

“We have staged a number of games for The FA over the last few years, and now to be chosen to host such a prestigious domestic final is a big boost to the club. I hope the public of Northamptonshire and the surrounding area will turn out in numbers to support what should be a fantastic occasion."

Barnet lifted last season’s Premier League Cup after beating Nottingham Forest on penalties in The Final, which was held at Adams Park, home of Wycombe Wanderers.
