Barnet Ladies secured their passage to the Fifth Round on Sunday and an all-London tie with West Ham United after an extra time victory over Colchester United.
The closely matched game finished 2-2 after 90 minutes and it took a fine strike from substitute Cheryl Williams to win it for the visitors with just eight minutes remaining.
Colchester were always chasing the game though and after previously equalising on two occasions, they couldn’t find a third goal to take it to penalties.
After a goal-less first half, Barnet striker Holly Sandow headed her team ahead in the 68th minute but they only held onto their lead for four minutes before Flo Gamby’s long-range effort bounced past the Barnet goalkeeper.
Sandow then got her second of the game with a simple finish after Claire Thomas had seen her shot parried straight into the path of Sandow who tucked it away from a matter of yards.
That looked to have won it for Barnet, but Colchester kept battling and scored a last gasp equaliser when Hannah Porter headed home a free-kick in the 88th minute.
Barnet edged it in extra-time, but could only find one goal which arrived in the 112th minute when Williams picked out the bottom corner from the edge of the box with a well-placed effort.
"Playing a team from your own division is an opportunity to progress and that's no disrespect to Colchester, but that's how we approached it,” said Barnet manager Tracey Kevins.
"It took us into the second half before we created any opportunities and when the first goal arrived, it was a decent bit of play.
"We looked strong in extra time and had a few opportunities and could have had four or five if it wasn't for outstanding goalkeeping.
"There are things that we need to tidy up, but we've got rid of the rustiness and are ready for the second half of the season.”
