Chelsea have set up an FA Women’s Cup Semi-Final against the ten times winners, Arsenal, after their pulsating extra-time defeat of Aston Villa in the Sixth Round, where they won by the odd goal in seven.
Young England international, Dunia Susi, twice put the Blues ahead only for Villa’s Carly Davies to respond each time. A Leanne Champ penalty put Chelsea in front once more but Emma Follis made it 3-3, forcing the extra half an hour.
It was left to Rebecca Jane to finally book the Londoners’ place in the last four, turning home the rebound from Leanne Champ’s second penalty of the afternoon.
Chelsea and Arsenal will now meet on Sunday 4 April with the winners facing either Barnet or Everton in The Final on Monday 3 May.
