Home advantage also proved decisive in the Midlands skirmish between Leicester City and Coventry with the Foxes running out comfortable 3-1 winners.
Ooh Lincoln Ladies taught Loughborough Students a lesson with a 2-0 away win, while Luton were also successful on their travels with a 1-0 away win at Brighton.
Lewes LFC went through on penalties against Chesham United after a 3-3 draw at The Dripping Pan.
