Manchester City maintained some FA Cup pride at the club on Sunday as they returned to action after a month without a game to become the first club through to the Third Round draw thanks to a thumping 9-1 victory over Leeds City Vixens.

The other big winners of the day were Keynsham Ladies who were celebrating a 7-1 victory against Swindon Town.

It largely was a day when the clubs at home triumphed, including Enfield as they survived extra-time and penalties to beat QPR. But there was one impressive away win as Sporting Club Albion went to Leicester Ladies and came away with a 1-0 win.

Leicester City, however, were 2-1 winners over Loughborough Students and Derby County beat Loughborough Foxes 3-1 after extra-time.

Gillingham hit three unanswered goals past Colchester but the Havant & Waterlooville against Plymouth was a tighter affair with the home side edging a five-goal match.
