Enfield 1893 secured one of the most memorable results in their history as they caught the eye on a stunning day of FA Carlsberg Vase First Round action.

A 6-1 away victory at Oxhey Jets caught the eye, and Enfield 1893 were not the only side to score six on Saturday.

Joining Enfield 1893 as a club with something to celebrate were Erith Town, who beat Farnham Town 6-1, while it was the same score as Winchester City won at Alresford Town.

And there were a number of eye-catching results on a day to remember for the competition.

There were two superb games at Molesey AFC and East Preston, although it was to be the home sides that were disappointed as Chichester City and Pagham came away with 4-3 victories, respectively.

Old Woodstock Town, though, were a home side on the right end of a 4-3 result as they beat Abingdon Town.

Ringmer, meanwhile, scored five unanswered goals against Woodstock Sports, while Ellesmere Rangers went one better, beating Bartley Green 6-0.

Racing Club Warwiock claimed an impressive 4-0 win at Stratford Town, and another side who will be smiling on Saturday night are St Andrews, who beat Bugbrooke St Michaels 4-2.

There were also wins for Bardon Hill, Oadby Town and Cogenhoe United, while Wisbech Town, Team Bury and Thetford United also claimed victories.

And Sporting Bengal United, Haringey & Waltham, Wantage and Reading Town also all won on the road, while there were home victories for Hanworth Villa, Flackwell Heath and Three Bridges.
