Wroxham manager David Batch believes that mental psychology will play a big part in their Quarter Final tie against Needham Market.

The Marketmen reached this stage of the competition last season and the Semi-Finals in 2008 but now they want to get to Wembley. The Wroxham manager insists that this could be an advantage for his side.

"We know they are desperate not to get beaten," said Batch.

"What has happened before to them could be in the back of their minds. Their players know they could lose and this could work in our favour.

"It all comes down to mental preparation. My players will be ready. We are certainly not thinking ahead to The Final, we're just concentrating on the game against Needham."

Both sides play in the Eastern Counties League Premier and they have already met this season, playing out a goalless draw in December, but the Wroxham manager feels his side were unlucky not to get the win on that occasion.

"We should have beaten them," added Batch. "We hit the bar and their goalkeeper pulled off an outstanding save."

Batch was also happy that his side got Needham in the draw, despite considering them favourites to lift The Vase and that they sit second in their league. Wroxham are 30 points behind in 11th place, although they have seven games in hand.

"We know enough about them and they are certainly hot favourites to win" he added. "Maybe getting an unknown team would be exciting but we need to win football games."

A dress rehearsal for Saturday was also in place but their Eastern Counties League Cup quarter final match last Tuesday was postponed.

"We would have loved to have played. It may have helped our preparations but unfortunately it wasn't to be."
