Crediton Manager Steve Guppy is relishing his side's replay with Cullompton Rangers on Tuesday night after their 3-3 draw last Friday.
"I'd like to think it will be as exciting as the first game," he said. "We are struggling with a few injuries that we didn't have in the first match but I am sure it will be another tight game.
"We know each other very well and we are looking forward to it. They are local rivals but we are in a league below and we hadn't played them for about four or five years so it was nice to open that door again."
Friday night's dramatic encounter has, however, left Crediton short on defensive cover but Guppy is confident in the ability of his replacements.
"We are missing our two regular starting centre-backs, but that is not a problem and I am confident that my squad will cover it."
Guppy is anticipating his opponents to come out and attack from the off on Tuesday, especially after their lacklustre start last week.
"I expect them to come out the blocks a lot quicker than they did on Friday, I think they didn't expect what happened and we will have to be on our guard," he explained. "If we can keep it tight after the first 25 minutes then I think we might have a real chance.
"I want to keep my team selection pretty close to my chest but Kevin Pike has been in great form recently and I am hoping he will give them something to think about and, as a team, we make a lot of chances but we sometimes struggle taking them."
The financial incentive for Crediton, who are currently in the South West Peninsula Division One while Cullompton play in the Premier Division of the same league, is also paramount to the club's future.
"We've really been trying to get Crediton up and running over the last three or fours years and this is a big luxury for us," added Guppy, who won one cap for England in 1999. "I don't think anyone expected us to be here. It's a break away from the league and I'm looking forward to every game we play.
"I don't get involved with the financial matters behind the scenes but I imagine that the implications of a run in The Vase would be massive."
Cullompton manager Peter Buckingham is still ruing his side's complacency at giving away the lead in the last minutes of extra-time of Friday's game.
Buckingham said: "We need to play better it's as simple as that, we went there expecting to win and at the end and we were clearly proved wrong. We should have been out after 90 minutes and we were lucky.
"I hope we've learnt our lesson because after the first game, in the changing room, we felt like we had been beaten and we don't want to be feeling that for real on Tuesday."
